Welcome to ApeRoar. By downloading, installing, or using ApeRoar ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ApeRoar, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

ApeRoar is a macOS application that provides offline voice-to-text input functionality with specialized features for software development. The Software processes all voice data locally on your device.

3. Account and License

• Free Tier: ApeRoar offers a free tier with core features including offline speech recognition (5 languages), text injection, built-in voice commands, preview window, coding mode, and recognition history.
• Pro (Lifetime License): A one-time purchase of $19.99 that permanently unlocks all Pro features including AI Text Polishing (7 modes, requires user-configured LLM provider), custom voice commands, and unlimited correction rules. The Pro license can be activated on up to 3 devices.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ApeRoar on your personal or business macOS devices for the purpose of voice-to-text input. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the Software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

5. Intellectual Property

ApeRoar and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The text you create using ApeRoar belongs entirely to you.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring your use of the Software complies with applicable laws
• Maintaining compatible hardware and software (macOS) as specified in our system requirements

7. Payment Terms

For the Pro lifetime license:

• The Pro license is a one-time purchase of $19.99 (USD) with no recurring charges
• Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers
• Refunds may be available within 7 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied
• The license is valid indefinitely and can be activated on up to 3 devices

8. Disclaimers

ApeRoar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy of voice recognition results
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Compatibility with all macOS configurations

Voice recognition accuracy may vary depending on accent, background noise, microphone quality, and other factors.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of ApeRoar.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to ApeRoar at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Software will immediately cease. You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it from your devices.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications or email. Your continued use of ApeRoar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
